Summer Programs
Many pre-health students use their summers to gain professional, volunteer or work experience. Some schools host internship databases that you can scan for opportunities.

Dentistry
- UCLA School of Dentistry offers several courses for undergraduates during vacation breaks, including summer.
- The Summer Medical and Dental Education Program is a free six-week summer academic enrichment program that offers freshman and sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation at various sites around the country.
Global Health Programs (International)

Podiatry
- Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine has a summer internship program (SIP). Interns attend workshops and seminars on podiatric medicine, as well as shadow and work with podiatric physicians in hospital, private practice, and outpatient clinic settings.
- The Pre-Professional Internship Program at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM) is designed to provide insight into the many facets of podiatric medicine and the education involved with obtaining the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree.
- CSPM Immersion Week (California School of Podiatric Medicine) offers lectures, opportunities to shadow faculty and students in clinical settings, a full day of MCAT prep, and admissions/financial aid workshops.
